Everyone’s talking about cannabidiol – CBD for short. But what is CBD, what’s in CBD oil and how can it help you? And if it’s made from cannabis, why is CBD legal in the UK? Here at Canniant we’ve got the answers to everything you ever wanted to know about CBD oil.
What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, comes from the Cannabis Sativa L. plant species. This plant is also used to produce industrial hemp and cannabis.
The cannabis plant contains more than 100 different chemicals known as cannabinoids. CBD is just one of these chemicals and according to the NHS, CBD has a variety of medical benefits.
How is CBD oil made?
At Canniant, we use only the flowers and buds of the female Cannabis Sativa L. hemp plant. This ensures that when you buy our products you’re getting only the highest quality, full-spectrum CBD oil.
We make all our CBD products in a controlled environment at the highest quality facility in Colorado.
The cannabidiol is extracted from the plant cleanly and safely through CO2 critical extraction. This technique uses carefully controlled temperature and pressure to separate out essential oil from the plant. The same technique is used by a range of industries on other plants, including hops.
Once the oil is collected, all our CBD products are fully tested to check the cannabinoid and THC levels. The technicians also ensure there are no traces of pesticides or heavy metals.
We’ve made it our mission to set the new standard for excellent quality and transparency in the CBD industry. That’s why we publish the third-party lab reports for all our CBD products. You can see the full test results for every product on our website. You can also access the lab reports via the QR codes on our product labels, using your smartphone.
Can I get high from CBD oil?
No. You cannot get high from CBD oil or any of Canniant’s products. This is because CBD is not the psychoactive chemical found in cannabis that makes people high. That chemical is called THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
Is CBD oil legal in the UK?
Yes, CBD oil is a legal cannabinoid that can be sold in the UK. The Home Office states that CBD oil should have a maximum of 0.2% THC. Canniant’s full spectrum CBD oil contains less than 0.05% THC. So, you can use and consume it legally without any risk of intoxication.
We publish the laboratory test reports for all our CBD products on our website. This means you can be confident you’re buying safe, legal products that have been tested and verified as containing only minimal traces of THC.
Can I take CBD oil for anxiety?

How much CBD oil should I take? What is the recommended dose?
Each brand of CBD oil is different, and the strength and formula can vary. This means that the dosage can vary between brands. Our pure CBD oil ranges from 500mg to 1500mg of CBD per 30ml bottles.
Canniant produces a range of different CBD products and the amount you take varies for each one. The dosage instructions are written on every product page on our website. The packaging for each product also has instructions so you can always check the recommended dose.
If you would like to start introducing CBD into your diet, we recommend that you start slow and build up your body’s tolerance to CBD. Wait for a few hours between doses to see how you feel before taking some more. This is because your tolerance depends on your own endocannabinoid system, height and body weight.
Canniant offers a broad range of CBD products in different doses so you can choose the dose and method that best suit your needs.
